Anthem Young Professionals
Established: January 2014
The mission of the Anthem Young Professionals is to provide an avenue for young aspiring community leaders to collaborate and help inspire and improve Anthem and its surrounding area. Through fostering relationships and friendships within the organization, our members are able to improve upon their own personal skills and business acumen, while providing the community with volunteer service and examples of great leadership.
Anyone between the ages of 25 and 39 can join. (Anthem residency is NOT a requirement.)
As an affiliate program of the Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce, members of the Anthem Young Professionals network, receive discounted chamber business membership – $150 for up to three years. Current chamber members are not eligible for the discount.
Anthem Young Professionals have a designated seat on the Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Events typically include a social activity that allows our members to engage one another where they can learn more about other young business people in the community. Events are hosted around Anthem, as well as outside of Anthem in the surrounding area(s).
Annual charity Corn Hole Tournament benefits a local charity chosen each year by AYP members. In 2014, money raised benefited ACTS, Anthem Cares Through Service. In 2015, almost $4,000 was raised to benefit Anthem Pets.
In 2015, AYP members volunteered 50 combined hours over the summer to help out with Anthem Pets’ Microchip and adoption event at the Anthem Outlets.
In addition to the AYP’s networking events, community service and philanthropy, plans for 2016 include adding in professional development seminars and lunch round tables to foster professional growth and civic engagement.
